I have read on MusikaCentral that there’s a new YouTube sensation that seems to repeat what Charice Pempengco has achieved. They’re called the Rin on the Rox and they have recently been featured on Ellen!
This Fil-Am duo on YouTube recorded their videos of themselves singing in the bathroom.
They have remakes of the latest hits, for which they created their own vocal arrangements. I could say that they’re quite good and I’m pretty sure that their talent will lead them somewhere.

I’m referring to Charice Pempengco. I don’t understand why there are people who can’t be happy for those who are doing well. Charice, the pride of the Filipino people today for her vocal prowess, performed the ever famous “The Prayer” in Tuscany, Italy with no less than Andrea Bocelli and for that she earned praises from Bocelli himself and from people from the media.
If you are not yet sure if you will give her praises, too, here’s a video of CharicePempenco’sDuetWithAndreaBocelliinItaly. See it for yourself and tell me what you think of her performance.
People are saying that she surpassed the performances of many other international artists but in her duet with Bocelli, she seemd to sound somewhat unsure. But the bottomline is, she got the chance to sing with Bocelli, which many singers in the world only dream of experiencing.

Over at MusikaCentral, have a glimpse of KC Concepcion’s first album.
The album contains songs that are very KC because it according to some sources, she was given a free hand by Sony BMG to choose the songs she wants to be included in the album. It is a combination of songs that both the old and the young, the masa and the sosyal will like.
There are revivals and originals in her album. The songs have cool arrangements.
For sure, her album will sell for so many reasons. First, KC’s got the talent. Second, she has lots of fans. Third, she’s the daughter of a megastar and a stepdaughter of a senator. Fourth, her album is a product of the Philippine’s music geniuses.

I have learned over at Musika Central that the first full-length animated film, Urduja, will be shown of June 18.
I can’t wait to see the movie. This is for sure a quality film because it is made by FIlipino animators, who are looked up by many people in the world for their talent. Some works of Filipino animators have appeared in famous hollywood animated films.
I really appreciate that our film makers have decided to produce an animated film like Urduja because as they do so, they are not only showing the world that we’ve got talent in making animated films, but they are also promoting our rich cultural heritage since Urduja is part of our pre-Spanish literature.
I hope for more projects like this in this future. This might just be the beginning of the Filipino animated film industry.

Romantic Princess is really good. Angela is so cute. She and Wu Chun really look good together.
The scenes are also nice. I feel like I’m watching an anime series. It really proves to be a Manga Series brought to life.
However, we have a problem in terms of the timeslot. It is shown at ten in the morning because after Naruto, the Regional Network Group of ABS-CBN takes over. So, RomanticPrincess is shown here an episode late.
Despite that, we are still enjoying the show. But when school begins, we have to give up the habit. Only my mother, who is a big fan of Kapamilya Dramas, can continue waching because she just stays home.

Did you watch ABS-CBN’s remake of the 2006 hit Koreanovela MyGirl?
I must say that you should watch it. It’s interesting becasue you can see how they adapted the story to fit into the Pinoy culture and taste. And Kim is just so great at portarying the role of Jasmine. Although we have to accept the Gerald Anderson has yet to prove that he right for the role of Julian, who is supposedly a bit stern because he is educated.
If we talk about ratings, there is no question that it will be one of the tops TV shows in the Philippines because people are interested in it. Although GMA-7’s Dyesebel still reigns supreme, they should still watch out the My Girl might just steal the spot one of these days.
Nevertheless, I still like My Girl. Read more about in on MusikaCentral.

I am now happy that my friend has finally recovered from all the difficulties he went through in the past few days. He’s been through a lot but I’m sure he is tougher as he now moves on.
He has updated his blog again and he changed his layout. It now looks so prefessional. I am happy for him because finally his old passion is back. He is now passionate about everything and he now feels like he has the energy to complete whatever tasks that is put on his shoulders.
He is also promoting his other blogs through the ad panel in the right sidebar of his blog. He is most happy about his blog on entertainment, where he writes features about CharicePempengco. He is not really a fan but he has followed her in the course of her career.

I have mixed feelings as of the moment but sadness unquestionably reigns.
I am currently here at the 6thYESCampInDumaguete or the Youth for Environment Summer (YES) Camp 2008 while at home, my family is facing a very difficult challenge.
I was already on my way to here when I received a message from my sister that they brought my mother to the hospital because she has a deep wound in her foot as a result of an infection from an ant bite. The wound cut deep into the area around her ankles that she can barely walk. We doubted that her wound had gone into such state due to diabetes but her laboratory results proved that her blood sugar level is normal. She was able to go back home after a day at the hospital.
The following day, I received a message from my niece, who is a nurse at the hospital where my mother was brought that my father was brought there, too, that morning because he had cardiac arrest. Later, I learned that his aneurysm was reason. Blood was already inside his brain an an operation can’t possibly be successful says the doctor. He was confined in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital until the doctor declared that my father’s is a hopeless case. He was transfered to a private room on the same day and is unconscious up to now. I and the rest of my family has decided to accept whatever is the God’s will. We are hoping that His miracle would save my father.
I have a thought at the back of my head that my father has been suffering for a very long period already and it might be God’s way of giving him rest. I love my father so much even if he was physically absent for almost half of my life. I know how he hard he worked for our big family that eventually led him to become paralyzed since I was in first year high school. But I cannot question the Lord’s plan for us.
I would like to thank those who

My friend had an exciting adventure on the celebration of EarthDay2008. He was assigned as the master of ceremonies five minutes before the program began. He also had bee taking orders from heads of the various offices of DENR from all over Mindanao who came to the program which was the Sarangani leg of the Mindanao caravan.
He has been involved in the activities of the DENR since he was in High School and he felt like the yesterdays had come back.
Other Earth Day activities are lined up and he will be very happy to attend them all.
I hope that you, too will be taking part in caring for our Mother Earth because the future of our environment lies in our hands. We sure do not want that this Earth to get worse each day because we want our children and our children’s children to still be able to breathe fresh air and , don’t we?
Have a great day, everyone!
